The journey
Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) is a Super Energy Service Company (ESCO), which enables consumers, industries, and governments to effectively manage their energy needs through energy efficient technologies. EESL is implementing the world’s largest energy efficiency portfolio across sectors like lighting, buildings, electric mobility, smart metering, agriculture, etc. at a scale which no organization has been able to achieve. EESL’s energy efficiency solutions have saved India over 47 billion kWh energy annually while reducing 36.5 million tonnes of carbon emission.
CITiLIGHT has come a very long way since that day and it today controls and manages over 400,000 street lights for only for Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL). As of today, CITiLIGHT has provided RMCS solutions to a total of 134 cities which includes 5 smart cities, covering more than 1 million street lights. Through these projects, CITiLIGHT has helped save more than 400,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

2. Design, Construction, Operation, and Asset Management of smart street light system (including RMCS) under ESCO project for North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC), covering 176,801 street lights.
3. Design, Construction, Operation, and Asset Management of smart street light system (including RMCS) under Smart City Project project for Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC), covering 35,261 street lights. This is the single biggest smart city lighting project in India till date.
